Heike: sounds like "Hi-ka"![]() My passion for photography started as a child traveling around the world with my parents. I loved that I could capture unique moments and bring them home to build on the memories of everything I experienced. My picture taking took a detour when my children were born. The joy and love they gave me was something I wanted to capture for years to come. I began taking a lot of pictures of my children and then my friends' families and so on.
“Let the beauty that we love be what we do.” Being camera shy has helped me appreciate just how important it is to make everyone feel relaxed. My photographic style is laid-back and fun.
Before settling down in Old Greenwich, CT with my husband and three children, I was a marketing professional in Atlanta, Manhattan and Connecticut. While helping a friend at Museum Editions | Art Advisors in New York City, I realized just how much I love and appreciate art in all forms. I studied graphic design at the School of Visual Arts and took many photography classes at the International Center of Photography [ICP] in NYC with Amy Arbus, Harvey Stein and other world recognized photographers. Photography classes have ranged from portrait and street photography to technical classes in lighting and Photoshop. I would be happy to provide you with more information. Please fill out the CONTACT FORM and let me know how I can help you. When I am not out and about taking family portraits, I am working on different marketing and graphic design projects. More >>
